How do you think those rv injectors will spin my larger turbo? The smoke is excessive as will as egts with ddpII. Im trying to make the truck more drivable and still have some fun. Thanks.

I had an 02 HO 6 speed and I put Bosch 275 rv's in it and it was cool. Would do it again in a heartbeat. They didn't cause excessive smoke or egt and my mileage went up a couple mpg. Plus they were affordable. I didn't have a fueling box though.

Considering that you have a built auto, 3. 54 gears, 315s, an Attitude, a Smarty, and a big housing on a medium sized turbo (all things that contribute to bottom-end smoke), I don't think the change from DDIIs to 275s is going to change much in the way of smoke control, since pretty much every aspect of your truck is working against you for that. A gear swap, a smaller exhaust housing for the HTB2, and/or a cam would help bring in the air when you need it (less smoke) and let you keep your fueling. Plus you'll find some of your missing low-end snap.

I have Mach 1. 6s with a 62/71/14 and on injectors only I almost have zero smoke unless I punch it from a dead stop. Does the turbo spool like it did with Mach 4s? NOPE! But it isnt any different really drivability wise as it still hauls a**. My EGTs peak at 1050 now and I gained 2mpg. I like being able to take my truck from one extreme to another thanks to the 1. 6s and the Adrenaline. Where before it was always extreme really. The smarty is all about smoke in the Catcher settings even with stock injectors.

Given the gearing and large tires, I'd swap a 12 housing on that turbo. The 14 is too laggy on the bottom. The RPMs cruising are most likely too low to help the smoke any with the 14.

The smoke is mostly controllable on the '97. But, get up to 4500ft+ elevation, I can't. The lag is really bad trying to get rolling again from a dead stop, even with an empty 6'x14' enclosed trailer.
