Hey get a really good HD dump trailer - MUCH better than dump box... ..... like:

http://www.bri-mar.com/hdgoose.htm or

http://www.bigtextrailers.com/dump.html to name a few... ... .

I don't know what these cost, but I do know that Rosco lost $3000-$6000 on his 03 when he drove it off the lot. So if you can buy one of these for that price you are $$$ ahead. Hope Rosco wife does not read the TDR or he will have some explaining to do. I'm lucky that my wife does not read the TDR or I would be in trouble too :D

We may have lost $3000 but al least my "girl" has not been used by some other man. I like to keep my women for myself only. The only person that is going to get their hands on her (silver bullet) before i do is some Mexican in Saltillo, Mexico and the service guy in New Orleans and that is only to dress her and check her out :-laf bye the way my truck is on the way from Pensacola, Fl. i called this morning. Oo.

A dump trailer from Bri-Mar, Big Tex, or other equal manufacters will cost about $3500-$4000. Also if I do the trailer route I still will have to find a way to transport my equipment from the job once my trailer is full or leave it onsite when I go dump which would waste time and risk theft. As far as hauling the equipment in my shortbed that is not feasable. I have a two 48'' lawnmowers, a Littlewonder wheeled blower, a backpack blower, trimmers, 21' lawnmower, handheld blower, and assorted hand tools. Unfourtunetly, I made a costly mistake getting a shortbed. however, even though this is costing me some $$$$ in the long run I hope to make back that $$$$ and then some.

Plus the new truck is a HO :D :D :D

Rosco, enjoy it while you can, trust me on this, the wife will finally catch on to the vehicle buying and selling and put her foot down. I remember when I got married and called the wife from the Mercedes Dealership. Told her about the new Mercedes convertible that I just had to have, she said if you want it buy it. :D Twenty years later and close to 25 vehicles and she is not as cheerful when I call about my latest reason for buying a new vehicle. :( She calls it a disease ;) I call it fun :p

Pit Bull, If you can afford a new ride every couple of years or so then I say go for it. We're not on this ball for very long before we turn back into dust. Enjoy it while you can. I can't afford a new truck every two or three years but I get the best deal I possibly can and the Mrs can :{ if she wants. I've enjoyed every one of them. Even the Ford. Once she gets over the mothering mode she enjoys them too!

Rosco, :D :D :D and it's a HO/48RE!Oo. Oo. Oo.

If it doesn't have clearance lights, it's just a pretend truck! :-laf

Well I guess my new truck is a pretend truck because I specifically ordered it without cab clearance lights. I already had to replace a cab light in the '03 I have now do to condensation. Also, I intend on having this truck for awhile and no lights means one less thing to short out, burn out, leak, break, or anything else that would give me a severe case of red A$$.

it lights for me! and i will respond with a well deserved amen on the comment that "we are not on this ball long. " thats why eveyone should go get them a new ctd so you can do this:D

I know one thing, Rosco, a bunch of people have wanted their new 3500's w/o the extra lights but could not order them that way..... that won't be a problem on your 2500.

I've had both, and usually the factory installs are OK, but I did the add-ons on my '98 2500, and getting the screws back out to replace a bulb was a pain in the a**s.

On the other had, since I pull a large car trailer, I like the safety of the extra lights. To each... . etc.

In any event, you know I am just funnin'. :D

And I agree about the CTD, Catcracker.

Rosco, enjoy your new truck!
