I've been looking at the Mazda 6 with the 3. 7 liter V-6 in it and was wondering if anybody knows anything about these engines as far as reliability goes. I know it is actually built by ford and is called a Duratec 37 which is from the family of Cyclone engines ( whatever that means). I've had such good luck with Nissan and Honda's V-6 engines that it makes me leery to try something else and end up having problems, since I would like to keep it until at least 200,000 miles which is (normally) not a problem to get that out of Honda's and Nissan's with just normal maintenance.

never mind, I went and drove one and I didn't really care for it. I think I'll probably end up with another Altima or Accord, no real worries about reliability with them.
