I have acracked stocker and looking for better flow. Looking at the XP stainless series. Anyone with experience, do you like this system on the trucks. I can get the whole deal for $480ish shipped which seems fair to me.

MBRP is good, I ran it on my last truck. I am running a Silverline on this truck, just because it was cheaper. I would say you cant go wrong with either one.

That was actually my next question. Looks like about $50 dollar difference in it and Silverline. Does anyone see any differences in quality/sound/ease of installation?

I have had my MBRP system on my truck for 3 years and it is falling a part on me. The front hanger that hooks to the transmission ripped off the pipe and left a big gapping hole. And now the baffle inside the muffler is falling apart, I can hear it rattling around in there. I think it's time for a new exhaust system and it won't be a MBRP system. Just my 2 cents.

Hey, that's what I want to hear, Anyone's 2 cents is considered. The good, the bad, and the ugly is welcome. I am between the Silverline and the MBRP still because I do want a direct fit, little hassel deal. I don't know if the MBRP is any different now as opposed to 3 years ago, but they do have a lifetime warrranty currently. Thanks for the input

I have been running the Silverline 304 SS turboback for about 4 years now, in Chicago saltbelt winters. If you look at the exhaust it looks brand new.

I have had T409 SS MBRP for about 5 years now. About 6 months ago I had the downpipe weld break where it necks down from exhaust bracket and it ripped out the transmission pipe hanger and left a hole there as described earlier. At the time my warranty was 5 years (now its lifetime) and since I saved the receipt they send me a new one free including shipping. Save the receipt or the replacement won't be made. I never sent the warrenty card in so if you send it in the receipt is probably not needed.

The MBRP was very easy to install and I'm satisfied with it but I don't live in the salty road states. I'd get it again but would get T304 SS since its a better grade.

I love the throaty sound of the muffer (4 in straight thru) and the 5 in x 12 in long T304 SS tip looks awesome.

That's my story.

I'm running the Silverline 304 system on my 06 model and love it. Installation was great, sound and quality seem equally as well. I talked with the guy from Silverline and he was very helpful with explaining the differences in muffler quality from various manufacturers.

As I understand it, if you buy an aluminumized system from most manufacturers, it does not come with their best muffler. It comes with a cheaper "knock off" muffler.

Does anyone know if the 409 Silverline systems have a 2 year warranty only? I had a hard time discerning from their website.

Not sure... . You might call Geno's and talk to a nice lady named Robin. Thats who I talked to. She can either answer your questions or put you in contact with a sales rep. from Silverline.

Well I had to make a decision and went with the MBRP 409 because of the lifetime warranty and the band clamps included. The MBRP cost me $23 more but from what I read should do just fine for mt setup. Thanks for the help guys

Good choice on band clamps. My MBRP system came with the typical exhaust pipe clamps which crimp the two over-lapping pipes together making it impossible to later remove without cutting... which is what I finally had to do with the old pipes (use a sawzall).

I bought 3 T304 Stainless band clamps from NAPA for $10 apiece and am glad I did because I was able to remove the pipes without cutting several times later. So you are saying that MBRP provided 3 SS bandclamps with the system? Consider adding a 5 in tip to it... . they usually are sold extra for about $60 but I think it really makes the truck look cool.

Here is a pic of my tip:

Should know for sure today, but my understainding was that the new MBRP systems come with a free 5 inch tip and the SS band clamps. FED X is due today.

Install was easy peasy. Everything fits great. I think better than any other aftermarket item I have used relative to the number of potential areas that could have had poor fitment. Sounds very good. Power and response is definitely better. EGT highway appear to be down 75-100 degrees. Only issue I had was that the kit came with standard clamps not bands. I am pretty sure the new kits have bands. I think I got a distributors old kit and that was why I got a good deal. I paid $424 shipped. Very pleased so far. Am going to send in warranty card now and hope I never need it.

As someone said before, what would we do without a sawzall? Old pipes were off in minutes. Going to set aside my particulate catcher just in case the Obama Express ever reaches under my truck

Muffler for me. Probably straight piped 20 years younger. Loud enough now. Has a good sound IMO. Turbo comes through well
