Installed the MBRP replacement muffler on my 06 Yesterday! Great fit and deep throaty sound, much quicker spool-up! Very pleased, we`ll see about the EGT-s when I pull the 5er later today. Just thought I`d let ya`all know.

I replaced mine about three months ago and found that the egts went down a little By a little I mean 50* or so.

I have noticed that now that the muffler has had a chance to "breakin", it does sound better then when first installed.

But I dont know if it was the muffler change or the Amsoil dropin filter as both were done about the same time.

does have a little more growl to it for sure! NOT obnoxious though! used the direct replacement fit 9116 or something like that???????????

MBRP is the manufacturer, its a straight flow thru muffler, did drop the EGT`S by 50 or so as Donnier stated, and that will help!

I like mine a lot. Deep, throaty tone. Sounds very good. At cruising speed, it's as quiet as stock. Add a little fuel, and it gets louder than stock, but not too bad. You can definitely hear it when you accelerate. I kinda wonder what it will be like when the kitty falls off on day.

I have wondered myself, as I have flirted with the idea of an aftermarket exhaust, but how about backpressure?? I am straight piped, and do not want to lose my mileage, but I like the growl that the MBRP gives. I just don't want a "muffler" per se. Any thoughts?
