Hello, 1996, 2500. I had this clutch put in about 4 yrs. ago and I have 50,000 miles and 6,000 towing. Never had problem one. I was trying to get to 1st. gear from second on a hill. I have to get my truck moving a little to get into 1st. I was slipping the clutch quite a bit to get the truck moving due to the hill. I really smelled the clutch and it did not seem to go away for a long time. Understand I was purposely slipping to get to 1st. My question is Are these mcloud clutches adjustable and if so I dont want anyone to do the repair. I am near long Beach Ca. and I know about Glen Thomas Dodge. I am sure that I did not burn it out but I am planning some trips and might need to have it checked. Thanks for any assistance.

PS. I was having the tires on my trailer replaced and I have a decent 30 ' fifth wheel and this guy comes up and said You have a nice set up here and I thanked him and started to talk about my trailer. He walked right by me and went the truck and said mind if I look inside.

Dale, I'd give the good folks at JVD a call...

I bought mine from them back in late 2000. At the time they were building the McLeod clutches and testing each cltuch before shipping.

I remember that smell:{ after every truck pull. After you smell that take it easy on the slippin or you will be replacin. They are a good street clutch but they will not take a lot of slipping. Dean
