I'll be selling the 2500 Diesel Ram tomorrow and then leasing a 2005 Ram1500 4x4 4. 7L. The 2500 Quad Cab 2WD 5spd was a good truck overall. I really liked the ISB. But it is the wrong truck for me in the big picture. The 1500 will suit my everyday needs better although it hurts to admit that.
I'm searching for a first gen 250 because I really like the Cummins/Dodge pickups... all years, and have always had a liking for 1st gens. A first gen will suit me better as a weekend warrior and recreation truck. It will also cost substantially less than my 99 did. The 1500 will zip me to work and around town during the week (and to the volunteer fire station).
The Carter lift pump really kicked my rear end too. I fought some good battles with it... but now I'm waving the white flag.
If I can contribute to the 24V forum in anyway... I still will. I dont know everything... but do know some things. Its been alot of fun in the 24V engine forum and what I learned was much and fast. Helped me make sense of it all.
See ya round... hopefully from a 1st gen cab. Gotta go study up on VE pumps... I'm waaaaaay behind the rest.
