Need Ram CTD electric truck for Son???

Some buddies of mine and I have been drooooooling over that International four door pickup. But the question arose as to engine rating. I believe it was only 220 horse power and 500 something torque. How can this possibly be enough to motivate a truck that size and possibly pull a trailer too??? Can anyone help me understand this? I figure my Cummins is rated at 235 horse / 460 torque and I weigh quite a bit less than that International and when I pull a trailer over the mountains it slows me a little, so what gives on this International DT-466 ?? ?? Thanks,

Part of the reason for it's pulling ability is, the 5. 33 rear axle ratio, even with the big tires, that's a low gear. About the same as our 4. 10's with small tires. Also if you noticed on the spec. sheet IHC rates the power as SAE or net, my guess is, pound for pound it will run with the new Dodge 600's :)

I drive a straight truck and I know that thing can go and go fast. I have had a 24 foot with liftgate loaded up with over 13,000 lbs and I was still getting it past 65 mph. The only problem I see with that CTX is that the base price is $100,000. 00 That's right , the base is $100,000. 00 If you read the article in this month's TRUCK TREND it has the truck on the cover. International is only making 300 of them. Of course you can put a dump ram on it for $4000. 00. Along with the air ride system your looking at $129,000. 00.

That's a little too rich for me.
