mega cab windshield visor

Looking to add a windshield visor to my mega cab. I called lund today and asked about their products. They informed me that they do not make any model for the mega cab and only some models for the quad cabs. I have looked through readers rig pictures looking for a mega cab with a visor. Does anybody have one and if so which brand is it and any problems? Thanks.

Do you know if the windshield/cab is different between a mega cab and quad cab? I was under the impression that they are the same.



I have a lund visor on my 2006 quad cab, and will be glad to post pics and info if your interested. --Eric

I've gone to a number of of dealers and the lund catalog does not show a mega cab in the dodge listings. When i asked the parts department, they have given both answers. Some say that they are the same and same say they are not, so i decide to call lund and they lady put me on hold for about5 minutes and said that she checked with a number of people and they said that they do not make anything for the mega and that the other dodge stuff would not fit. I've seen a few mega cabs in my area but none have a visor. I love the one on my wifes 2001 quad cab gas powered.

Maybe you could stop by a LineX, Pep-Boys, or other truck accessory store that carries Lund. It should be obvious pretty quickly whether it will work or not just holding it up. I have both a sunroof and cab/clearance lights on mine, and there is no interfence with the visor.



Maybe you could see if the dealer part number for a front windshield is the same for a quad cab and a mega cab. This should tell you if the cab width, curvature, etc. is the same. If the part numbers are the same for the windshield, I can't imagine why the visor wouldn't work.

I was under the impression that the mega is the same as a quad from the b-pillar forward. I can't imagine that Dodge would go to the expense to retool for windshields, dashes, etc. Maybe Tomeygun would know.
