I just installed the mega cannon on my 97 turo. ( for the uninformed, Its a low loss air filter that mounts in place where the orig factory equiped filter was. ) The installaion was easy.
During a test run the turbo sound was great. You can hear the little monster spool up with the inrush hurricane of air. (My turbo ring is still in place). Its not so loud as to be bothersome. I did not notice a power gain but it does spool up faster. I have not changed the muffler yet. That was the pro's
The con's
#1 The price $295. I bit too much for a sheet metal box and cotton filter.
#2 The air filter has no end support where it cones out. Constant vibration from bumps causes it to flex. Anything that moves this way will eventualy crack or split.
#3 You have to oil it after its first cleaning. (I had a KN filter which
left my intercooler full of oil)
If anyone has any pros or cons to add I would love to hear it.
