Wil this wheel abd tire combo work on a 2wd?

Played with the powersmokes on the hill today.

Just got back from a great turkey hunt in unit 23 in Az. The mega with centerlines from DRC and new Toyo Mts (35-12. 50-17) handled all terrain well and handling on the back roads was superb, even at 70 mph. The few times I had to do a little rock work (16 inch ledges) the tires were great. Hiway speeds to 99 very smooth as well. No rubbing, even when off roading. The Kore chase and the Mega/Cummins is a great combo. I have the Chase with the heavy duty springs and 7100 Bilsteins.

The turkey hunt was textbook for a change. Got out to the spot, called for 20 minutes, three toms came in and me and my buddy had two down in about 30 seconds. 1 1/8 inch spurs and 10 inch beards. Not bad for Merriams.

Some will ask about the backspace. The 6 inch from centerline still keeps the tires pretty much under the wheel wells.

Very nice looking truck. Is the Kore Chase just a leveling kit? I was thinking about putting those tires on my truck and was wondering if I need to level the front first.

I have a set of the Pro Comp 305 65 17 extreme all terrains and they are a smoother running tire but look a little small with the Chase suspension. The Kore Chase is quite a bit more than a "leveling' kit and is a vast improvement over Stock. It will make your truck handle rough country very well and ultimately drive more like a sports car. The downside - a little over 2 grand. The plus is a much better truck to drive. The 35's will eat a little power on take off over the 33's if you have a 3. 73 rear end like me. Once you get going though you will feel little difference. I dont know about towing yet.

The Cummins has lots of power and it is just the change you will get used too.

That's a tough lookin' MC. One of the better ones I've seen (and I've seen a lot here in Phoenix). The wheels and flares make it look rugged  .

-I think I may have to add those wheels to my invoice from Greg this month!!!

Congratulations on your gobblers Nellsun. I didn't get as lucky in 5A. But the San Carlos hunt last fall yielded wonders!

Nice looking truck too!

Thanks Blake. I am doing a little at a time. This truck is my daily driver and must be dependable and safe. Greg has been quite helpful with suggestions and so far the Kore Chase has been money well spent.

Power Wagon flares from Dodge. . I used 3m tape added to the rubber edging to keep them from vibrating and grinding dirt into the paint. So far so good. Pulled my horse trailer this morning. Very respectable accelleration. With 3. 73's and over drive off, I was at 2000 rpm at 55 and it has plenty of pulling power. I only got 13 mpg in stop and go traffic though. Pulls well from the get go too. I "was" worried about the loss of gear ratio with the 35's.

Nelssen,

Awesome truck!! :D Oo. :-laf . I agree thet Greg from DRC is willing to go above and beyond the call of duty to answer any and all questions and concerns .

The best system in my opinion.

Beautiful truck. Nicely done. I really like those wheels. Good call on the fender flairs. Not too bulky.

No, the Chase isn't just a leveling kit. I belive it lifts the front 3 inches and the rear just a hair over one, so you ride level, but slightly elevated. And from all the feedback I have heard, the ride is second to NONE!
