Recently had the passenger front window regulator replaced. It was slow and choppy. Just had the driver rear window regulator removed and installed correctly. It didn't go down all the way. It stayed up about 1/4". Nearing the end of the warranty. As much as I like the truck my wifes 01' Ford minivan went to the shop one time for a warranty issue. This truck has been there 4 or 5 times and still has to back for another visit.

Was the Mega built in the US or in Mexico??? Just wondering because some say that the Mexico trucks are built better.

My 04 F150 Supercrew had to have all 4 regulators replaced within 6 months. I'd close a door and down the window came. Had a couple other little things go wrong. It was my 3rd F150 in 5 years (one wrecked and never right after, one lemon, and the 04). It's the luck of the draw. You either have a "good" rig or a "bad" rig. It really doesn't matter if its a Ferd, Chebby, or a Dodge IMHO.

I'm off Fords and GM right now. PT Cruser, Jeep, and my Dodge... The GM 6. 2 Diesel was enough to get me off of GM after 20 years, another 20 on Fords. Let's see how Chrysler treats me. So far so good.

The good news is, window regulators are only about $50, and do-able at home in about an hours time I would guess. I just had one replaced in my '06 QC.

I am running my fifth and sixth third gen trucks right now. I have had what I consider, very good luck with them overall. As complex as these machines are getting, zero defects is hard to expect. I also had a couple chev trucks, an '01 and an '03, they gave me a bunch more trouble than the dodges have. I also had a '99 ford but it was a very basic work truck. That one went 250k miles in my care only needing a water pump at 30k miles. You can get good ones and bad ones from anybody, I think that is very true. So far nothing compares with the $100k BMW my wife had. It was in the shop 25 times in the 50k miles we owned it. That one simply became way too big a hassle to own anymore.

You think that is bad my wifes old 03 VW Passat was in the shop 48 TIMES in under 44k miles. Talk about a crappy car... just junk#@$%! Now she drives an 07 Hemi GC Limited.
