Diesel Stations

I really need some help if anyone is a member of the diesel page. I have a 94 Chevy 6. 5diesel that just quits. If it sits awhile it will start back up and run OK for a few days. They have a list of things to check out for stalling on the diesel page but you have to be a member to access it. It acts like its the fuel cutoff solenoid but it has been replaced and it still quits. Anybody that can help i would be grateful.

I used to be a member there until they decided to start charging for the priveledge and didn't tell anyone then suddenly gave me the boot. Vaughn

We replaced the black box about a year ago. Even bought a cooler to put it on could it be bad again already. Last time it went bad it set a code,no codes so far this time.

I would have to go with the lift pump. cheap way to start. when it dies see if it has fuel in the filter. (does it start right back up real easy after it has died) i have had 6. 5 since 95 last won was a 2000 best one i ever had.

No it doesn't always start right back up. It took about 20 mins to get it restarted the other day. I'm pretty sure the fuel pump is working you can hear it running.

There is also a potential for immediate (read broken before installed) pump modules from Stanadyne on the 6. 5's.

The lastest buzz from Stanadyne is "No Warranty". Check your Lift pump pressures and see what you get. But be prepared to purchase another pump module.

go to thedieselplace.com . This place is way better than thedieselpage. Registration is free and they have lots of forums for chevy diesels with chevy diesel tecs on there to help you out. Matt
