I have been a member since june 2000, I have gotten three renewal notices,They started coming before X-mas, Now today in the mail I got a notice telling me my subscription has expired. I though membership in the TDR was for a year, can somebody tell me what up with this?. I have every intention of renewing my membership, But don't like being cut 4 months. Has any body else had this problem?

How many magizines have you recieved? YOur subcription is for 4 issues of the TDR, which is "technically" a year. It might just be a paperwork error, I'll point this thread out to someone who can answer your question.

Going to move this to the "Website" forum as well.

I got a renewal notice last week also, and my membership should be good until July. I signed up July 1999 (or whenever TDR was inaugerated). Seems my last renewal notice came in May last year.

I also got my first notice 7 months prior to expiration. I don't mind it, but it seems a waste of TDR money to send out a notice that will obviously be ignored. I'm on the third notice now and have three months to go,I'll wait till it's down to month before paying, never know what can happen in the meantime...

Guys,

If you wait too long you get dropped. I still had a month or two to go on my 1st year, but had got 4 mags. I decided to send in my money a little early, but still missed getting issue 31. I just got 31 last week. To not get left behind on the mag. I would send in your money at around 90 days before it is due.

Sooooooo, Whom do we go and kabitz with to correct this problem? I got three issues and then a renewal notice??? The renewal came right after my 3rd issue. I thought I was good until July.

Several of you have questions regarding your membership/appropriate renewal time.

You can e-mail Tina Bean or me (Robin) at rpatton@ix.netcom.com and we're glad to look up the status of your membership.

Remember, a one-year subscription is good for four issues of the TDR magazine (distributed quarterly) and 12 consecutive months of access to the TDR web site; we've never cut off anyone's access before 12 months unless they have cancelled their subscription.

Like all magazines, we do mail out renewal notices in advance of your membership expiring. An easy way to double check your status is to look on the renewal card (or the label on your magazine) at the first two digits of your member number (i. e. 30D 00001). The first two digits indicate what issue this year's subscription began with. In this example, the member would expect to receive issues 30, 31, 32 and 33 before needing to renew. Access to the web site is never cut off before 12 months from the date the renewal or new membership begins. If that would have happened, you can be assured we would have been "verbally beaten" in one of these forums (snicker) for our error.

I hope this informatin is helpful. Do not hesitate to contact Tina Bean or me to look up the specifics of your subscription, however.

Robin
