Chrysler 300 hesitant starter

ideas anyone?

I'm thinking of buying a mid to late 90's Mercedes E300D this spring. Does anyone know of anything I should look for that would indicate abuse/lack of service etc.

Thanks

Not sure about the late 90's, but I have seen them from the 80's that are rust buckets. I saw one where the upper control arm bushing mount had rotted out of where it mounted on the top rear.

My father has a 98 300 diesel. It is by far the best car that he has ever owned. We have many miles of hard dirt road to our home and the car soaks it up with ease. The problems that he has had have been mostly little electrical (idiot lights going on for no reason) but the drivetrain has given him 150K trouble free miles. I dont think the newer ones have been quite as good. We also had a frieghtliner with a mercedes diesel and it was one of the worst experiences we have ever had with a vehicle. His 98 car moves right along, one of the fastest diesels I have ever been in. Its a turbo charged 6cyl.

I bought an 83 300SD back in '93. It had 63k miles on it. It has 255k on it now. Still runs great. Wife bought a toyota 2years ago so the Mercedes doesn't get driven much anymore. Nice to have an extra car that gets good fuel mileage.
