RamJam (western side) - Moab, 28-30 Sept

The guys over at DTR are arranging a Get-together w/ 3 dyno runs for $50. 00 on Sat. 7/21/'07, from 9am to 6pm @ Mynes Performance, which, is located just behind the Southern Ave. Car Wash on Southern Ave. between Mesa Dr. & Stapely, in Mesa. You do not have to dyno.

Since we don't have a lot going on, here in AZ. , this may be a good time!!!

More info. & a map can be found on the DTR in the Arizona Events thread, over there. It's a long thread (80 posts) but, the latest info. starts around post 56, page 4.

Thought you guys may be interested.

TFucili,

How are you doing? How's your first summer in the desert? Hope it's not too hot. Actually, Wickenburg is higher than Phoenix & somewhat cooler, I believe. Not as much pavement & buildings to hold in the heat.

If you can't make it on Sat. we'll have to hook-up another time.

Take Care.

There is another thread about this week-end in the "Shop" forum, entitled "Shops in Phoenix".

Joe,

We are liking it just fine! This little town really suits me:cool:. It's hot for sure, but you just learn to deal with it. I must admit, though, that I do mind the humidity of the approaching "monsoon".

I hope to see you Saturday.

Well, this event was, BY FAR, the best one yet!!! I think the 'key' is to have something to watch, like the dyno runs.

I can't remember how many trucks rolled across the dyno but, they started at about 10:00 AM & finished at about 6:50 PM, with no real breaks in between. There were enough trucks that dyno'ed that they dropped the price to $40. 00 for 3 runs.

Food was abundant with hot dogs, brats & cornbread.

The highest HP truck, that I heard about, was around 500 HP & 1000 ft. lbs. TQ. I'm sure there will be more posted on the DTR about the results.

There is talk about having another event in, possibly, Oct. due to the hot temps. Although, yesterday really wasn't too bad considering this is in the Phoenix (desert) area. It was about 100/102 degrees but, a bit humid.

the next event may be a "Wrenching" one. At least that's what they're considering.

Thanks for putting on a very entertaining event. I had a great time & met a lot of really nice folks. One guy (Short Shift), even came all the way from the Long Beach, CA. area.

Hey Joe, how are you doing. Would have been there except I didn't run across this thread untill Saturday. Will checking here more often and be looking forward to October.

azpete,

Hi! I'm doing fine. Had a good time at the "Event". I was there just shy of 9 hours.

These guys are talking about doing some more events, also. Next one may be a "wrenching" get together. They want to have "something to do or see" at these events. Should be entertaining.

There is supposed to be a diesel drag racing event in Surprize, AZ. just before Labor Day.

These guys seem to post on the Diesel Truck Resource.com, so, that would be a good place to get 'first hand' information.

Hope to see you again.
