The US Navys newest design, newly built, newly christened "littoral" combat ship breaks down at sea on it's maiden voyage and is towed 40 miles to port…I wonder if they used a AAA mileage plus card for the tow.

With all the news about it's metal and the new design and cost, you'd think they would get the maiden voyage and the trials done first before opening it to the press.
Now it's going to be classed like an old Ford Ranger that cost billions. 40 miles ?
