metal gasket question

On the gaskets that go between the exhaust manifold and the exhaust housing there is a stamped radius that runs around the port area in such a way that one side of the gasket has a concave groove surface and the othe side has a convex raised ridge. Which side goes to which surface?

I dont think it really matters. Or more correctly, I have put them in both ways and had no problems. You can even reuse them once if it isnt in too bad of shape.

like he said, it doesn't really matter... I usually put the radius against the turbo, but it's kinda like "what's your favorite color?"
