I don't like the look of the metal shavings I found in the 95 dually. They are bright silver. The bigger shavings are about the size of a #2 pencil lead. Most of it was small, sand like. They were not steel, would not stick to the pan mag. The trans has 32K on it, I think this is the first time the fluid has been changed. My 98 with 67K on it has never had any shavings in it's pan, the 2003 didn't have much of anything on its mag at 30K. So, I would guess my 95 47RH is on its way out?
 
Probably something else, it does shift fine. I'll drop the pan the next chance I get to see if there is more metal in the pan.
