Sooo, if I bring mine by, will Lou Fusz swap the cheap plastic one on my 05 for a good metal one?

In time we may see D/C swapping all the 05's to the metal ones. It makes me wonder why they went back to them.

We all know the reason but I don't think D/C does.

last I heard Cummins was on there tails wanting them to go back to the metal intercoolers. Some of the vehicles that Cummins was testing in the mountains at maximum GCVW was popping the intercoolers in stock form.

Shaaa-weeet! Let's hope this is the "new" (old) way and not just a fluke out of some old parts bin on this one truck.

one things for sure, this is a different part number than my 03

AND there is 741 of these in the national warehouse Oo.

Not trying to hijaack a post here...

Banks just released their new Techni cooler Kit I have sold two of them now very impressive cooler it is 3 inches taller than stock. Also stock intercooler is 2 inches thick Banks technicooler is 3 inches thick. More cooling and more flow.

chris

hahaha, close, but no leather in that one -- Let me see what I can do about the pics... ... ... ... ... .

PS - I see you sig. , I think the EDGE, or QUAD box would be better than the banks stuff -- HMMMMmmmm... who do I know that sells them, hmm... :D

hummm... ... . so... ...

Does this mean that if my plastic intercooler blows up, under warranty, that it'll be replaced with an all metal one?

BTW, what part of the warranty is the intercooler covered under?

Hard to say, I know the plastic one is not available that I can see

SOOO, I would think you are right!

(dont go blocking off your wastegate just yet though  , cause I dont know for sure)

I see in the pic there is that Catalyst No. again on the engine sticker. . wish I knew what it meant.

if there is no number code next to the cat #, then there is no cat on the engine, with some sort of number code there, it refers to there beng a catalist of some sort...

as for what the number code means, i am not sure... but i know my sticker says catalyst no. [blank] :D:D:D

what's the price range? also, is there only one part number for 3rd gen intercoolers?

There are like 4 part numbers for the 3rd gens, A few are plastic, and a few metal

This NEW metal one is about $520. 00 shipped to your door, from what I can see
