Lance 1121, any opinions?

auto transmission upgrade?

Does anyone have a good source for some metal valve stems to replace the plastic ones that come with the 3rd gen duallys?

The local tire store has some, but they are only about 3/4" long. They said that I would have to have them custom order some if I wanted them to be about 1" to 1 1/2" long. I don't want the dually setup that places like Camping World sells. I just want the stems. The plastic ones bend over when you try to fill them and are very hard to get a air tool on... :)

The short steel valve stems will work if you re-use the OEM plastic valve extensions and use an air chuck and gauge as shown in the following link, post #12.

Also, there are photos of them in my Reader's Rigs.

I have been using this setup for nearly 3 years and no problems. I rotate my tires regularly and don't have any problems with the valve stems not matching up with the holes in the wheel skins.
