mfg in 2/04 is it a 2004 or 2004.5 how to tell?

Can someone tell me if my truck is a 2004 or the 2004 1/2.

Build date is 2/04.

Look on the side of the valve cover.



If it is a 305HP/555TQ it is an 04



If it is a 325HP/600TQ then it's an 04. 5





The 04. 5 has a larger downpipe off the turbo, that is why they are asking you.

It's a 04. 5. If I recall, anything after 1/1/04 was a . 5.

04. 5 after 1/1/04. If you're getting a PacBrake pre 06, you will want to change to heavier valve springs for proper function.

Yep, same build date as mine. Definitly an 04. 5 - 325HP, 600TQ

Heavier springs are NOT required for ANY 24 valve trucks
