2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Miami: any good 2nd gens for sale?

Hello all,

I am leaving rusty Vermont for a month of work in Miami.

Anyone know where I might find some clean 2nd gen CTDs in that area for sale?



I thought I would keep an eye out for a potential replacement for the green monster. The weather here has been hard on the beast. I am sure the 10 years of Amsoil has been good under the hood but everything else is pretty much shot.

the old rust belt is tough on automobiles, my 96 still doesn't have the first rust spot.

I can not believe that your going to replace the "Green Monster" instead of rebuilding her.

I have kind of learned a bit about myself over the last few years... .
The 55 power wagon that I dragged home from PA to rebuild is still sitting in about the same place. Good intentions... .
The 80 dodge military ambulance W400 came and went but I did get to the last Phish concert with it... . A friend got it before it merged with the ground. A gift from me.
The 01 Cummins is still on a pallet in the back drive next to the 55 power wagon.
The 91 3/4 ton suburban has been unregistered since about 2003. Not much rot on it and it still runs but that 01 Cummins sure would be nice in it... more good intentions...

So, now when I think about rebuilding the old green monster, I have to be honest with myself about the likely hood of ever getting that done. Maybe I should slide the Suburban body onto the green monster's frame after I get a newer daily driver... . ah, more good intentions. . or is that just a dream... .

To be fair to myself, I have been traveling like crazy, mostly in the middle east. When I get home the last think I want to do is turn a wrench.....

Understand Completely about being swamped at work and just want to relax at home... .



I will have to say that when I first got on the internet and started searching about our trucks,your old website and that truck was what led me to the TDR and that first meet up in NE Maryland way back then. Its a sad thing to see your favorite ride in failing health due to rust but maybe another would spark the drive to someday resurrect the famed "Green Monster".



What are you looking for in a 2nd Gen truck,any idea at all?... ... ... ... . Andy

Wish list for a 2nd gen: In order of priority-
Rust free body (everywhere) a must, 4x4 a must, 24v (but not the bad block) desired, 2500 desired, manual transmission desired, quad cab desired but standard cab has less to fail, "highway gears" desired, and I prefer no engine mods but.....

I'm selling my '01 in Atlanta. It's pretty clean and has 136K. Hunter greet extended cab short bed 4x4 with tan cloth interior. 60-70% tread left on tires.
