Has anyone else had the same experience with these tires that I have? They are great in spring, summer and fall and are wearing very well and look to last almost 100k miles..... buuuuut..... in any kind of snow they are absolutely useless. My '03 DR QC 4x2 CTD HO 48RE w/LS axle is like a "hog on ice" with these tires. If the pavement is least bit slick I can't even make it up the slightest incline. Michelin's website calls them all season (yeah, Florida maybe) and give them a rather high snow traction rating, but I beg to differ. I am horribly disappointed with the winter performance of these tires and next fall a good set of mud and snow tires are going on the rear of ol' Ram.

Yes, couldnt wait for them to wear out. Unfortunately they last a long time. I kept mine for 2 years/ 65k and couldn't take it anymore.

YUP !!!

I have the same tires on my 2004 ram 2500,Thank god I got 4X4. These tires are not any good in michigan snow. Oh well thats the only part I don,t like about my new truck;) ;) coobie

i had the same tires on my 04... the key word was had. them suckers [all 5] were gone in less than 1 week. they were/are useless [and i keep that opinion about all michelin pickup truck tires except the rib/xps]

I have BFG ATs on my 04', but had Michelins on my 01'. I loved the highway ride and their longevity, but hated them in mud or snow. In fact, I got stuck once and had to call my brother in law to get me out. What does he show up with? Ford Explorer of course! Let me tell you... . it was a sad sight seeing that little explorer pulling my big ram out. Yes... . I'm still hearing about that one!

Had a set of LTX 19. 5s on my 99. Live in south Texas so not a lot of snow BUT after about 50K on them just a little rain and we were apt to be on the shoulder facing the wrong way. Absolutely the worst rain tires I have ever had. Dry pavement they were great, long ware and very smooth.

After 115K (still had tread left) put Goodyears on and they seem better in the rain?????

The LTX A/S are useless!

Just look at the tread pattern, and compare with a snow tire. There is no way that they can have a good snow traction rating.

I did notice however that if you have a full load in the bed they are quite a bit better. I hope to get the up coming summer (positive thinking its -30 outside) out of them and then go to something much more aggressive ( and taller)!

I had to slog around unplowed streets for a week after 14-16" of snow fell with my Michelins. It was challenging with 2-wheel drive but the limited slip saved me. I had trouble getting out from in front of my house a few times but thank goodness I never had to break out the chains.

If I'd had any idea we'd have so much snow I would have gotten something different but it's gone now and we rarely get snow let alone 15" of it.

Michelins

I took mine in and had them double studded and we have had our share of snow and have had no problems. Mud may be a different story.

I plan to get a set for summer driving, already have the extra rims.

Now if Toyo comes out with 10 ply's for 17 inch rims I will get them for summer driving. :D

My friend at work has an '03 QC LB 4x4 3500 SRW with steel wheels and the Michelins.

Mine is the same truck, but with alum wheels and BFG's.

My friend teased me every day about how ugly the BFG's are but we recently got pounded by snow in Portland and he was shocked about how bad the Michelins handled the snow.

The BFG's were great. Now I do the teasing...
