I just removed 2 from the rear.
I recently started towing and thought I would appreciate a bit more bite that my old LTX A/S didn't offer, bought 2 LTX AT2, also impressed, more off highway bite, but not a full blown off road.
The very first time I towed with the OLD A/S set, no problems, but ever since the AT2's went on, significant noticeable tail wag and when towing or empty for that matter, that ain't pleasant.
This past saturday, I towed my rig about 50 miles on the AT2's with several sessions of tail waging. When I got home I put on 2 old A/S tires on the rear, I have a complete spare set of steel wheels w/tires. Put the rig on the road with no changes and all of the tail wag was gone, tracked like it was on rails.
I advised my tire guy a while back about my concern, he knows that I had a spare set of wheels and only used these for my towing trips, which have been few so far. He exchanged the AT2's for M/S2. Not the same as the A/S these have cross cuts in the tread ribs, not the big tall open tread blocks.
No road report yet, but one change went from tread block squirm to laser guided steering, and I gave the rig a few inputs to th wheel, STABLE with the old tires.
