I have Michelin LTX tires on my 93 W250 and will be towing my trailer for the first time next week. The trailer is a 22' enclosed car hauler, trailer with truck inside is approximately 7500 pounds. Can someone tell me what PSI to set the Michelins at?

Thanks.

I had a "93 W250 and towed a 20 foot goosneck with horses in it all over this country. I ran 45 pounds in the front and they lasted 72,000 miles. I ran 70 pounds in the rear and they lasted a little less than 50,000 miles.

I do not rotate because I do not want to have to buy 4 tires all at the same time. Besides I don't think it helps increase the wear.

With the set up you have, there is a good possibility of heavy tongue weight. I would run the rear at 75 pounds pressure and the front at about 60 PSI. Do you use a load leveler type hitch? If so and you transfer weight forward, I would run the fronts at 70 PSI. This is based on th tires having a max pressure rating of 80 PSI.

When I'm not towing, I run the front at about 50 and the rear at 60 PSI. Makes the ride a little softer. The tire shop also agrees with this and asked if I tow or not.
