Michigan - Cummins vs Navistar

Just thought I'd let you guys know that I attended an NMCA (drag) race, AND a tractor show this weekend, and here's the mix of trucks I saw pulling all the trailers (and there were lots):



50% 2nd gen CTD

30% 3rd gen CTD

15% Ford PSD (7. 3L)

5% GM (new and old)



I actually saw and tried to get a pic of a newer Ford PSD pulling a small hot-dog cart next to a 2nd gen CTD pulling 2 tractors on a 5th wheel, but couldn't fit em in!



Thought you guys'd get a kick out of that!

Interesting bluthndr. While we have our diehard Ford fans sticking it out with the new 6. 0, it looks like we have a few wise souls who know what to buy when it's time to tow.



Two years ago I did an informal survey along 280 miles of interestate in Eastern Washington and CTD powered Dodges won easily (counting heavy trailers only). Ford was 2nd with Chevy a distant 3rd. The Duramax was in its infancy still though. I should do it again sometime
