Michigan and all who can Meet?

Urgent Legislative Alert

Great meeting yall! Hey where are all the hotel pics? Or are Plainfield police still figuring who to pin the bill of for resurfacing the road in front of it... :-laf

That is really nice :( that kind of s**t going on with kids next door(it’s my camper in the background). I hope my kids didn't see that  ! You know this use to be a fun show to take your kids to but now you have that kind of BS going on. I will be surprised if IRP will allow the DHRA back after all the crap that happened. The level of stupidity was off the chart, at IRP, someone destroyed the showers, in the women’s restroom, someone drove an ATV into it knocking down the door, breaking down some stalls and in the men’s restroom someone did donuts with a mini bike damaging the new floor. Another idiot used duct tape on the newly painted bathroom wall to say “happy 40th birthday Bernie” . I am not saying that a TDR member did the damage (IRP suspects a group of guys who own fords) but the damaged occurred during Thunder. I like to have fun also but there is a time and place. This type of behavior only enforces the stereotype that a bunch of guys getting together with pickups are rednecks out to cause trouble. It seems that each year people continue to push the limits of what is safe and how far will it go before someone gets hurt or worse? Sorry to vent, but that photo just proves my point.

Kyle.

Youre right Kyle, the behavior was out of line (I deleted the photo off TDR, this is a informaitonal public site and its better than that) the vandalization of the restrooms was uncalled for as well as the rest of the defacing of IRP.

Kyle,

It is amazing to me that we are thought of enough to have IRP have us in the first place. But then during the show I'm told of how "my patrons" have treated NHRA's sacred grounds. It was disheartening, but IRP, NHRA and DHRA understand that it was a few bad apples. We are making some changes for next year and if they don't work, they'll cut out on trackside camping.

I do want to say that it was just a couple of redassed drunks and to all of you that camped, kept it peaceful and still enjoyed yourselves, thanks! You are what keeps all of us wanting to do our jobs.
