Has anyone seen the new Mickey Thompson Classic II's up close? Better yet, has anyone bought a set? They look really sharp in the photo and have a 3000lb load rating even though they are cast.

I am pretty sure these will be a good match for the Bridgestone 285/75/16's.

I saw a set on a Chevy 1 ton and I was not impressed. The holes around the center are so big, I don't see how they can have that type of rating (not enough material left in the center).
They're not as thick as the Eagle 589's in the center, but the 589's do have a 3700lb. rating. I think both are around $125 each. Since I've seen both,I think the 589's would be safer IMO.

I agree that the MT Classic's arent as impresive as the 589's. The holes seem to big. A friend of mine tried to order a set for his 98. 5 24 valve, and they said they were on back order, and he wouldnt be able to get them until the first of next year. So he went ahead and ordered the 589's. I have Weld Super Single II's on my 2001 QC 24 valve, and I absolutely love them.

I went to the Eagle site and found a 058 wheel that looked similar to the Mickey Thompson Classic which I think you guy's are talking about. I did not find a 589 on either site. It looks pretty good and has a 3420lb weight rating; but, it only has a 4" backspacing. The stockers are closer to 4 9/16" so the new wheels would stick out an additional 2". I don't want that.

You guy's did help though, I saw a wheel I like almost as much as the Classic II and it has 5" of backspace.

I think that when it comes to backspacing that all the wheel manuf. the 16. 5x9. 75 have a standard backspacing. This was the closest pic of my wheel that I have.
