I have a set of Micky Thompson Classic II's. They are 16. 5x12 with 4. 5" back spacing. I have BF Goodrich 35x12. 50 Mud tires mounted, and as you can imagine they rub really bad. I tried to put just a leveling kit on, but not even close to being enough lift. The tires stick out about 2" from the wheel well, and that is where the problem is at. I love the looks of this combo, but I am going to really tear something up if I don't get the truck up off the tires with just one turn of the wheel. So how much lift, and who has one that won't break a guy's wallet. I don't want to have to finance this project.

In my opinion the wheels are not worth degrading the handling by adding a 6'"

LIFT. With the correct wheels you can run 35 BFGs with out any lift.

Be careful!! I had 35" BFG Mud Terrains on 16. 5 x 12 wheels on a 1996 F-250 and split the bead of the tire on 3 of them. The wheel is too wide for that tire and is DANGEROUS! It might not happen today or tomorrow, but it will happen. My last one let go on I-15 here in Vegas at about 70mph! Thanks for listening, it could save your life!

Luckily nothing, The only one that let go while driving was the right rear. I was slowing from about 70 to make the Tropicana East flyover and it felt really loose. I pulled over in the Excalibur parking lot to find the tire flat, then I saw the ripped bead. The other two happened on seperate days, came out of work once and home once, same thing. Two ripped on the inside, one outside bead. My buddy at Discount tire said " told you so!" The sidewalls are too short to stretch that far. I did have 37" GoodYear M/T Hummer tires on 16. 5x12 wheels on my 99 Dodge CTD without any problems. Little bit more sidewall I guess! There might still be pictures of my 99 still on here somewhere, it was a black sport quad cab with chromed suspension. I still miss that truck, guess thats why my Mega cab is also black, with cab lights.
