micron level of napa fuel filters

What micron level do the napa fuel filters go to?

Napa Gold filters are made by Wix. The #33402 used on earlier 12 valves has

a 5. 9 (no typo) micron rating.

What micron level do we need to not plug injectors. I am planning on running a aftermarket filter for a project. I need to run a larger micron level. What can I get away with? I have been told that 27 micron filter is ok. Is it?:-{}

The 97 and up filters I have seen from napa are reboxed Fleet guards. The 24 valves require a 10 micron rating if my memory serves me. The filter is to protect the injection pump.

Anyone know the hole size of stock injectors?

Not sure of the injector hole size but much bigger than 10 microns.

10 microns is 0. 000393 of an inch, sort of doubt the holes would be smaller than 100 microns.

Primary filters usually are 30 micron, secondary is usually 10 micron. I found this in a Wix master catalog while trying to reduce my filter inventory. I read a few years ago that Cat and Deere had started using 2 micron fuel filters to extend the life of the newer electronic injection systems.
