Swivel wheel trailers?

Gas powered trucks

Hey all, I am seeking out a mid 80's Holiday Rambler TT. Do any of you have one? I am brand new to the RV thing. We are a family of 5 and just looking around at some good brands. It seems Holiday Rambler makes a quality product. I would be open to any brands. I like the fact that its a aluminum frame and siding. So if you have any advice for a newbie to the RV world I would appreciate it. I am looking at the older ones so I can pay cash.

Thanks! TRS

Holiday Ramblers were good and popular trailers for many years from around the '50s into the '90s. By the late '90s their sales began to slump due to the entry in the market of all the cheapo brands made by Keystone, Forest River, Thor, and several no-names.

Holiday Rambler was bought out by Monaco Coach and began to focus on 1/2 million to million dollar motorhomes by the early 2000s and they got caught with millions of dollars of unsold inventory when the economic collapse of '07 occurred. Monaco/Holiday Rambler is gone now.

You should be able to find a decent used one if you look carefully. I'm guessing your truck is a single rear wheel so be careful about trailer size you buy and the kingpin weight it will put on your truck. It is very easy to overload the rear axle of a srw truck with a fifthwheel or gooseneck trailer.

I have a late 80's Holiday Rambler, actually it's a 1992 model. We bought it new and it has given us years of good service. We bought a new/used TT last year because we wanted one with a slide-out, more space and all. I'd like to sell the old one - 32 foot, smooth aluminum skin (top/sides/underbelly), front kitchen, center bath, rear bed. Let me know if you're interested.
