Any Ram guys in SE Florida?

Good Dodge Mechanic in N. Alabama?

Steve,

I bought my Di-Pro Pyro and boost gauge from Geno's. I got my Di-Pro Fuel Press gauge from www.dieselchips.com. Overall, the Geno's order cost more, but I got a lot of "extras" from them that I didn't get from dieselchips... For example, the boost gauge came with the Piers fitting... cost's $18+10bucks shipping from piers (I know, 'cause I ordered one... ended up selling it to Jay. ). . the boost gauge was $46. . so, $46-28=18... . making it $18 for the gauge, lines, fittings, etc... Pyro came with two tapped npt fittings... 1/8, and 1/4 from Genos, plus thermocouple, and 7' wiring harness.

From diesel chips, I got... the gauge... in the box... that was it.

Either way is an okay way to go... Geno's took the headaches out. With the FP gauge, I'm having to go to speed sport and get the plumbing crap... also had to order a tapped banjo from Geno's for it.

I can help ya out if need be.

Andy

Hey Wade,

When and where do you want to meet so I can drop off these tires? Won't be over Woodbury way for a while. Call me at the house 615 890 2657 or cell 615 478-6159.

Got the new lift pump back in last night. Running with 12-14 psi at idle and never below 10 psi at WOT. The gauges are great.

wade i am a new member to tdr and live in murfreesboro. would you know of an honest mech. that could check the rear abs sensor on my 99 dually. i have had several bad deals with the local dealer and willnot go back to get bad service again.

Hey GW,

Would like to welcome you to the TDR and the Mid-TN Chapter of the TDR. I am a 'Boro resident as well (in the Barfield area). If you are referring to Beaman about the bad service, I agree. I have gone to them for parts only and they have given me the wrong part almost 100% of the time. Hallmark in Hickory Hollow is cheaper on most parts, but I have not checked out the service department. I try to do all my service myself.

What kind of problem are you having with your rear abs sensor? It is a simple item to replace and costs $37. xx @ Hallmark. It can be checked with a multimeter. It should have around 1800 ohms of resistance. I can help you with it if you need it.

Hey Wade will that Briar Hopper fuel pressure gauge work on a 12V lift pump

I'm trying to figure out what the hell is causing my sudden $hitty mileage after all my fuel line troubles last week! #@$%! :{

Some of the guys in the 12V forum said to check the lift pump.

Sorry I've been missing posts. The "notifier" hasn't been working.

Jay-I'll call.

GW- it's a crapshoot, I don't know who to recommend for domestics, but have a couple of friends who work on import brands. If you need a dealer, Lebanon Auto Plaza isn't that bad. (That'll make Mark yell). Oh yeah, I do know the guys at T&K Tire. They should be able to help on brake stuff. Kelly Bush is the guy to talk to. Tommy is "wound too tight" for comfort.

Mark--yeup, got the fitting thingy too.

I'd talk with some of the 'burro members on here. Wade will recommend Lebanon, but I used to work there and I don't care for the guys.

I'm starting to like Miracle Chrysler over here in Gallatin (Sumner county) more and more, but that is a long drive for you.

Yall seen any good 12v's for sale lately?

Buddy of mine is looking for a clean 4x4 Club, 5-speed, 3. 54's without huge mileage. Preferably 96, 7, or 8. Don't want the little 95 pump.

Trying to avoid driving him to TX or AZ or WY!

Steve,

I would stay away from Beaman in the 'Boro. Hallmark would be the best bet around here. No experience with them other than a couple of oil changes.

In defense of Lebanon Auto Plaza--they do most all of Mom's services (1999 4x4 auto). They fixed the fuel return lines on the green truck (95 12v)--in half a day, parts and ALL.

The thing they messed up was the throttle-cable recall on the green truck. I had to re-route it.

The dealer in Winchester did my TSB reflash on the Red truck in 02. No complaints.

Thanks for the info on the dealers. I may give Hallmark a shot. I have a leak on the transfer case. It looks to be a bad gasket. My driver mirror will not stay in adjustment. Drive it a few miles and it is pointing down.

I would just like to say thank you to member Meacham Evins again. I had originally planned to drive all the way out to Wade's in Woodbury today which is about a little more than an hour from me. Invited Meacham to go and he called me this morning saying he couldn't go but I should stop by on my way and take his 94 for a spin because he'd added a few goodies. :-laf

Well having my phord driving cousin at the house I jumped at the opertunity to once again show him massive amounts of CTD power! Afterwards Meacham tried to save me the long drive by trying to find a gauge in Lebanon, didn't pan out and after BS'n for 45 minutes he said "you guys hungry, lets have lunch my treat"

Wade ended up having to come to Lebanon anyways so he met me 1/2 way, Meacham even fed him too :-laf and we all sat around and BS'd for about an hour and then finally got my lift pump tested.

Thanks Meacham for the great meal for me & my cousin, and thanks Wade for meeting me 1/2 way and bringing me my sun glasses I left @ Gaps

What, no mention of my Green Truck? Geez--I should have put the pedal ALL THE WAY down!:D

And yeah, it'll look better with the stacks!

Yep, Meacham's Red truck is coming right along--dang I love that 5-speed. If/when the auto ever gives up in the Green one, I'll be converting it to 5/6 speed. :D :D :D

And thanks for lunch!;)

1) Yeah it'd look better with stacks

2) I'm jealous cause its extended cab

3) Right now it'd run off and leave mine so bite me Wade! :p

Steve, be sure that they check and clean the xfer case vent tube. The vent tube runs from the top of the xfer case to the drivers side firewall area around the IAT/MAP sensor area. If the vent tube inlet is dirty, it will cause leaks in the transfer case. My xfer case leaks in two places. Let me know what the dealer comes up with.

Hey fellas!

Just wanted to chime in here with my opinion on a dealer for warranty. I've had good luck in Nashville with Music City Dodge.

Also, anyone needing parts, if you can supply me with a part number (Dodge, Cummins, or GM) I have a fella here in town that will sell to us at a GOOD discount. I haven't found anybody close to his prices, so let me know. Call me at work, 615/834-8990 ext. 241.
