Any Ram guys in SE Florida?

Good Dodge Mechanic in N. Alabama?

Cool shot of our trucks. We'll have to pose them again sometime.

Speaking of shots. Damn buck keeps dodging me! I've got a Nosler with his name on it. ;)

Happy T-day all. Eat hearty, and put BOMB's on the xmas list. :p

I think Rod has a gift certificate available...

So I drove the 4x2 tonight after spending several days in the 4x4...

:--) :--) :--)

That sucker IS pretty quick! I almost forgot. :D

I think I might make this one! :D

We can do sled pulling with my boys battery toys. Them things are funny with that 12volt battery on a 6volt motor.

5am! :--) Your nutz!

I'll be there, but not that damn early!:{

Now to go back for his Grandpa. :D

3 minutes till 7 this morning. Windy, blowing rain, miserable--was going to leave at 730- with or without a deer.

Now for the dirty work.

Good lookin' buck there Wade - my nephew slayed a nice 7 last Wednesday and two cousins got a couple of nice ones too. Seems like more big bucks are being killed this year - that's good considering the rumor of a disease killing a lot of deer has been passed around here lately - several guys have found some dead on their property.

Anyway, I just ordered my Christmas present. I'm gonna be the proud owner of another Beretta - this one's a 92FS Brigadier INOX model - below is a picture for your viewing pleasure - let me know what you think.

Gauges will probably be here sometime in January - I put the Beretta higher on the priority list.

I tote a Kimber 1911-style and/or a Browning Hi-Power. I also have a custom job that I hunt with-- 325 grain bullet at 1000fps from a 5" bbl --can you say BOMBED?:D It'll do more. I have chronographed 350 grainers at 1200 fps--but that's a bit painful.

Haven't shot much lately, but handloading and precision shooting is another one of my hobbies.

ON the buck, there's a much larger one out there, but I haven't seen him a second time---yet.

Browning A-bolt, chucking 165 Nosler partitions, stoked by 54 grains of H414, is what dropped that one. It's a 30-06. Also have a . 280, . 243, . 375H&H, . 308 that I deer hunt with. As well as a couple of Mauser projects--6. 5x55 and 7. 65 as well as a . 44 mag in pieces. I'm leaning away from standard cartridges from now on. . 338/06 will be my first wildcat... you know, once I get my CTD's all fixed up. :D

Hey Wade, I've got a classic Colt 1911 too - don't get it out much. I was debating on either the Beretta or a Taurus Raging Bull . 454 Casull. That thing was a monster - wouldn't really be practical for carrying and I probably wouldn't ever hunt with a revolver (plus the bullets are way too expensive and I haven't gotten into reloading yet).

Anyway, I love my rifle too much to stop using it. I've got a Browning A-Bolt stainless stalker, . 300 MAG w/Boss, SS Leupold 3. 5 - 10 x 50mm - sweet gun, definitely the favorite over the other deer rifles. It's one of the flattest shooting guns I've ever had, very little recoil too. It will put em down on those long clear-cut shots. I also use a nosler partition in the Federal Safari model - puts some great groups on paper. I believe all that I'm shooting out of them is 180 grains. Might be 200 - haven't gotten the gun out in a year.

I've got a few other rifles and too many handguns to list - the collection keeps growing. I could type all night about these things, better quit.

Later.

Where's Gap?????

Anybody seen or heard from Gap? Sent him a PM early Monday morning, message tracker says he hasn't been on since 11/27:confused:

He's busy like a cat in a sandbox.

He's trying to get the shop built for our meeting, fiddle with Red's truck, and his regular work thing.

Hey Wade and everyone else - back on the gauges, if I get them by the 10th of January and can make the meeting, you think we could install em then or is that trying to squeeze too much into one day? I didn't know what everyone else had planned. It looks like I'll be able to make the meeting in January but if you think we can put gauges in then, I probably need to do some ordering pretty soon.

Just let me know, I'm in no rush but I thought it would be a good opportunity to get em in while everyone was together anyway.

Thanks,

Hans

I should have gauges to install at that point too. Maybe we can have another day around that time and help each other out with it??

Gap must be busy, have't seen him at work all week!!! Was want'n to talk to him too, by trucks smokin' a little too much... . fearing a problem.

Andy, clean the IAT if that thing has got one. Check for boost leaks. When, what color, tell us more about the smoke.

Hans, you'll want to get a boost fitting from PDR. It replaces a manifold bolt and is hollow. Need proper drill and tap for the pyrometer. Is your FP gauge electric or mechanical? Also get some mini-fuse taps to pull 12v for the lights. It's a longer job than some, but might not be too bad with two folks on it. IF you haven't already got the gauges you better start hunting them. A LOT of isspro stuff is backordered. I wound up getting my last gauges from Gomers/US Diesel.

Speaking of which, came in today AND I found a VERY hot scrape in the woods. Tomorrow is SHOT, between deer chasing and injector/gauge installation.

Yep, got the injectors too. Oo.

HOLY COW! There's TON of wires in this ISSPRO setup. Amplifiers and juntion boxes oh my. Hewitt from now on--much simpler. But I'll hang these in there now.

Wade,

Those Isspro Pyro's do have a lot of wires. I just installed one about two weeks ago.

I'm finally back on the road. Billet input shaft, billet output shaft, new HD clutches, new HD 2nd gear band and strut and now I'm scared to drive it hard. What's up with that? Maybe I can give you that ride now without having to be towed to the dealer.

Hey Meacham Gap and I met in Rivergate last Monday and while we were talking I tried 2-waying you on my Nextel (found your business card in my wallet! :-laf) to see how the truck was coming, but it said you were unavailable. :( Was really weird usually if someones's not reachable it just beeps a long low tone at me... . when I tried to 2-way you it came up on the screen unavailable:confused:

Anyways glad to hear you back on the road!Oo.

Mark,

I got rid of my Nextel. My new cell # is(615) 406-5572. Give me a call. I haven't seen you around in a while. I've just gotten my truck repaired and I'm a bit squeemish about running it hard now. A couple of days and that will go away. I hope things are going well for you and maybe I will see those stacks smoking soon.

Ok, got the boost fitting covered, the fuel pressure gauge is mechanical (I'm getting Di-pricol gauges not ISSPRO), as far as the tap - I was hoping one of you guys would have that covered, and I'm assuming I can get the mini-fuse taps at any parts store, right? And I figured any 3/8" drill would do the trick or am I wrong about that?

Wade, I'll probably have to give you a call before I start ordering stuff just to make sure I'm not screwing anything up. It'll probably be another two weeks before I can order though. It looks like Diesel Power Products out of Pasco, WA is going to be my supplier.

Meacham, go easy on it, let all them new parts get to know each other real well. Heck, the road is wet anyway. ;) You'll find yourself back in HAMMER mode soon enough. :D

Nick- if you haven't already, announce that pull under the competition forum--maybe we'll get some unlimited iron down here. I'll put it on the events calendar.

Hans- yeah, mini-taps aren't hard to find, just good to have. Be sure to specify Pre-Turbo on the pyrometer. If it's 1/4 NPT, I think it takes a 7/16 bit and I have a 1/4 NPT tap.

My cell is 615-542-1957 verizon.

Wade, lorretta mitchell is posting it on enterprises website. theey are supposed to be coming down. i have also talked to kent with schieds and he's going to try and come down also. ahould be a heck of a pull. i'm going to put it on the tdr again about the beginning of april.
