Any Ram guys in SE Florida?

Good Dodge Mechanic in N. Alabama?

Do yall think we need to start another thread about just the meeting since someone may have ignored this one. This thread has been going on since last fall and may have been overlooked, just a suggestion.

DS1413 or 1314  @ Advance. Moog Lifetime Warrenty! $100 or so. ;) :D

I would like to see the 'Zilla on the Green truck. ;)

How hard would it be for me to do my return line @ Gap's Wade?

What would I need to get?

I want to get this starting problem addressed if at all possible!:{

ignore us? no way.

We're too far outta control! People are fascinated by that type of stuff. :D ;)

Yeah, we normally kick out a new one for events and meetings. Holly Daze ?

Mark--Lebanon Auto Plaza did Pop's return lines. I don't have personal experience with the R&R. Heck they're dang hard to SEE.

Boost Gauge from Geno's

Hey, I received my boost gauge from Geno's yesterday. . Lo and Behold, it APPEARS to have the Piers boost fitting as part of the package. This makes the deal PRETTY SWEET. DiPro 0-60 boost gauge, fitting, tubing, a handful of compression fittings to connect the tubing to the gauge and to the boost fitting. All for $46. Piers charges $18 for the boost fitting alone.

WELL, I have already ordered a Piers Boost fitting, which I haven't received yet. I am going to return it unless someone else would like to have it. It fits ALL 24v trucks. In the odd event you don't know what it does, it eliminates the need to drill and tap to install a boost gauge. You simply take one of the intake manifold bolts out (nearest the head), and replace it with this guy.

If anyone needs this thing, let me know.

Still waiting on my FP gauge from www.DieselChips.com  ... it was the only place I could find it WITHOUT an isolator.

Thanks,

Andy

Figured it was time to move back over to this thread for our general roundtable discussion... .

I got to meet the owner of the GreenMonster (truck Gap and I saw at work). He's a new employee here at HCA in the networking group with Gap believe it or not. He is also the tentative I had listed for the meeting last weekend. He was a friend of a friend that I had tried to recruit. Said he wanted to make the meeting, but had a prior family obligation. He seems to be really interested in being a part of the group.

One thing he mentioned to me was "smoke". Seems he thinks if it's smoking, you're got a problem that needs to be addressed... . I'm sure y'all will enlighten him.

It's an 01 with 100K miles. Only mod is a K&N.

Can't remember his name... .

Andy, pics. look great.

Got all my gauge wiring complete last night. Saweeet. I like the Autometer gauges but I understand why everyone likes the backlit ones better. I love the way the gauges turned out. Thanks again for all the help.

Now new tires, alignment, and new lift pump this weekend.

Jay

Pics look good.

I finally washed my nasty @$$ truck yesterday, right before I had to park it per dealers orders till they get my metal return line in!

Man, that's funny. After posting the pics, I was gonna post again to tell you I was gonna tie your truck down and scrub it clean whether it wanted it or not! :D

What can I say?!?! It's not unusual to see me washing mine at midnight... Heck, I even washed it at 5AM the morning of the meeting!

Funny thing is I just did a quick wash at a place that is usually $. 50 for 5 minutes. I think I used like 3 dollars pre-rinsing, brushing, and then rinsing again. :-laf

This is good. .

Ford has added wires to the rear window to clear fog

and frost.

Dodge is adding wires under the wipers so they can be

freed when frozen and not burn up the motor.

But Chevy is adding the wire elements to the tailgates

onall of their trucks to keeps your hands warm while

you're pushing!

Riding on my new set of Bridgestone Revo's in 285/75R16. After 20 miles, I love 'em. Keep you guys updated on how they perform and wear.

Wade, you still want my old tire for the green truck. There is still a little rubber left to burn off!!!

Well I had made a big long reply last night talking about how I got my truck fixed, but the server crashed late last night and lost my post!

Someone noticed a large puddle under my truck @ Gaps Sat. I dismissed it as a loose AFC and oil. Even tried to tighten it before I left, but it was already tight.

Anyways I used A LOT of fuel going Gap's and home Saturday. More than I should have. So I took it to get checked out Tuesday. 1st place I went to said leaking injection pump..... I said bring me my truck!

Took it to Mircale Chrysler in Gallatin after they said no charge to look it over. Within 10 minutes of pulling it in the shop they found my metal return line cracked! Oo. Both the advisor and I thought it was the rubber line (its nice when you can talk diesel with your service advisor :-laf ) They quoted me a lowball price, and with me not having time to do it I said FIX IT. Then they told me they couldn't get the part for 2 days!

So I parked it upon there request saying it would suck the tank dry if it cracked the rest of the way, and a buddy lent me a 92 RS Camaro to drive for a couple of days.

Just got it back yesterday and man am I happy to have my baby back! Oo.

Oh and to top that I'm within 2 to 4 weeks of getting my clutch! Oo.

I finally found my leak too. It wasn't on the return side. It was #5 injector line. I backed it off and tightened. The I bumped the starter just to bring up some fuel pressure--as it had been hard to start. And it started on the bump.

I guess the crash is why I got notice of posts that I couldn't find.

I drove a Ford over the weekend and man was it powerful!!!

But what wouldn't with a C-12 CAT and 74k GVWR in a dump

truck!!

Anyway I am pricing gauges. Looking for DiPricol black face EGT,boost, and Fuel pressure. Gap do you or anyone else know where i can get a good deal???
