Here I am

Mid-Tenn Dyno in March

Attention: TDR Forum Junkies
To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.

Thanks, TDR Staff

Geez...no chapters up this way???

Just wanted to say hello to all the Mid-Tenn folks..

Got room for one more on the rollers? If so, my buddy Len (you might've met him at the Jan meeting. ) would like to baseline his 06 DMax. It's a quick truck, I'd like to see what he puts down. 6spd auto with manual control on the tree. Perty nifty.

If not, no worries. I told him I'd ask.

The Party is just the bunch that will be hanging out/around at Bean's Friday night. There will be a few ford guys coming in with campers--and I'll probably be around about here and there. Cervesa fria might beer there too. ;)

I'm in..... Wife handed me the mailer, and said. "This is from the TDR, and there having a dyno this Saturday. Are you going to take the white truck?" So, I'll be there and I'm going to try to get it up on the rollers, if my truck will even turn them, and if I get there in time to get on the list. Heck it might just poot, pop, and fart then quit... At least we can all get a laugh, if you see tears in my eyes just over look it and keep laughing..... Anyways, I'll be there with BA@@S on. Put me down or whatever. Have a good one

Well, actually Bean is working on a 6-liter right now. :-laf

I didn't ask, but I saw no indication that he's going to have his "big" rods in anytime soon. Hope they work out for him. Motor in, motor out--repeat if necessary. :p

No burnout pad, leave your junk set of wheels and tires at home.

I think I'll just run the p-pumps. 24v needs a little TLC and I've got too much other to do.

Hope this isn't gonna be a "no hi-jenks" shin dig... my 315's need to be finished off in an honorary manner. :-laf

I just don't want to pull a "Prez" like at the last meeting! :-laf

Can't believe nobody got a shot of the cop chewing me out! :-{} :-laf

So it appears that I have a blown head gasket. Yeah, I'll check the cooler, but the odds seem low. It's the 98 we bought from Chris Rudd (he still won't return a call 210-8888, somebody call him and ask who "built" the transmission in the Red truck). So now to get the 24 rolling again.

No dyno for the wifey's ride.

Mark, ditto on tire thing, anybody know if that behavior will be tolerated, i was (and still am) all ready to help with post, concrete, and labor if necessary at a good location. we would need to be safe with it and plan for oops's like broke chain, hitch, and worst case, some type of runaway catcher (which would probably never be used, but would be extremely valuable if/when it was. i think a burnout pad at a diesel hopup place is sorta like an articulation ramp at off-road stores, a necessity. not only do they allow for a little fun and parts testing, could keep us off the public road, allow for a little friendly competition, and heck imagine the video someone could get with a good charged battery. rob.

Just heard from Wade, mentioned that the normal "tire testing" would most likely take place :p , just not a good opportunity for the tie back post. oh well, will have to stick with tire smoke from just one end. man this would be a great time to have the burnout smiley like on the bombers site, anybody know if we can do that one here too? i have really grown to like the little burnout thingy. hey, we might get an opportunity to try another smarty if things work out, dad may stop by again to check things out. rob.

HAY---I know there'll be a few ford rods laying around for display--does anybody have a Cummins rod handy? I'd like to see an actual Cummins rod real live and in person like a Piston Slapper. NO I don't want see my rods. Pulling a head is fund enough... and there's more

See yall there. Oo.

Results?

Hey guys - so how did it go? Can anyone post a list of the numbers? How many Mid-Tenn guys showed up? I got busy this morning and didn't have time to make it up there. I figured it would be better for me to wait until IRP anyway because I need to do a few more things first.

Did 'Ol Smokey show up? How 'bout Terry or Stephen from Lebanon?

Steve Patterson - what kind of numbers did you put down?!

Fill me in guys!

I did 444HP and 978TQ.

Oh my god man! Congratulations! (if that's the right word) I hope you're proud of that number because I am definitely impressed. Oo.

Did you dyno with the Smarty set to stock? I am really interested at what that box is giving those us of with large injectors.

Geez man, I may be closer to 500HP than Don M and I thought. You are probably flowing a bit more air with your 64mm wheel, but the Mach 5s are rated at 50 more HP so I should be on up there (assuming everything else is working right). This definitely has the wheels in my head turning. :-laf

Now I'm itching for IRP. :D Or maybe Dennis Peery is going to have a dyno at the race at Bowling Green in June.

Just wanted to say that I had a great time, what little time I was there!! It was alot of fun seeing all the combo of boxs, chips, smartys, injectors, and the like. I was well pleased with my best of 464 hp and 921 tq!! Thanks to Mr. Dunbar and his first class set up!!

Yeah I agree, thanks to Mr. Dunbar for an awesome dyno day!

I am going to put together a spread sheet for work, so if you guys could send me all your dyno numbers, what you were using at which numbers and all the toys you have on your truck - even turbo sizes I would appreciate that bunches. I am not wanting to spread this around, just use it so when a guy calls up and asks some questions I can have this as a guideline to help them get to some good numbers.

Thanks everyone!

And our TDR Dodges did us proud! :D

For anyone that did not make this event, Dennis Perry with TS Performance is having an open house, race, Dunbar dyno weekend coming up in June. Maybe we can show up there and run some better numbers. Might even have mine to a point to get her up there as well.

I had a great time, thanks to everyone that had a part in the event... . I appreciate it alot. I am happy my truck didnt blow up. I cant wait till another dyno event. It's always fun to put it on there. I'm happy with my numbers (440 hp 1036 tq). I think it is funny that no matter how much power a truck makes, the owner starts thinking how they can make more. . I know it makes me think that, heck I was doing it while mine was still on the dyno. Oh well, I might try to get more power by the next dyno meeting. It was good seeing everyone.
