Either way, don't matter to me. If we go through Charlotte you'll have to lead the way. I'm not familiar at all with 49 past 250 out of AC. I went home that way last year and it sure seemed like a long and twisty little trip. It's 30-35 minutes to Joe's through White Bluff from AC.

Scott

Honestly, I think it's 6-1 half-dozen the other. I've gone both ways a multitude of times. I usually go Charlotte b/c I don't have to fool with the redlights and stuff through whitebluff. You can also hang a right off petway in white bluff. That road comes out about 4 miles down from the shop.

Ain't it funny how everybody's got their little "pet" routes to get somewhere.

It doesn't matter which way we go to me either. It's always fun traveling in a convoy to someplace no matter which route you take. I'm just gonna be excited to be out and loose for a few hours!! :)

You'll have to ask Joe about the "convoy" home from the Atwood pull. I don't know about fun but it was definetly exciting. :D

Sounds good to me. Just tell me what time.

I've got a little hand-held (walkie-talkie type) CB if it'll take the pressure off.

Speaking of CB's, could you bring your meter with you Wade? I've gone to a roof mount and I haven't been able to check the SWR yet.

Scott

Roof mount is good. 102" whip is just too long for the roof! ;)

Remind me on the 18 or 19. I'll bring it if I can find it. Maybe I'll put some coax between my cb and antenna. Dog ate the previous run.

BTW will be getting close to 25K mark any one know the service required on a 2005? Mostly the more involved stuff. Lash etc. Oil and filter I can do. Any good hands to show/tell me the stuff I gotta do would be VERY welcome. Thanks

Check your owners manual, but The only think I'd do at that mileage is swap transmission fluid to synthetic. EDIT: You've already got a Mag transmission pan, so I guess you've changed transmission fluid recently.

That leaves the front/rear diff fluid, and the t-case fluid to change. Mobile1 or AMSoil in all of them. Big heavy truck and those huge meats your turning it wouldn't hurt to stay on top of fluids. Change them a little early.

As for valve lash. You don't need to fiddle with that until 75k at the EARLIEST. I just did the ones on my truck at 183k... pretty sure it was the first time they've been done. They were WAY WAY out of whak. Truck still ran fine, and oil analysis had been good. She was just a lil noisy. :)

Well... Unfortunately :( ... I will be again making the trip down Oo. Looking forward to seeing everyone again and taking another stab at "The Rusty Rotor" :-laf Anywho... Will be leaving Arlington, VA on Friday night, and driving thru to meet and greet everyone on Saturday. I was thinking of bringing a rear bumper with me that needs a few holes drilled for backup sensors and getting it install while there. Any one wanna help? I'll bring the drill bit! Other then that (after finding I don't need to worry about Valve lash and stuff) nothing else. Looking forward to seeing a lot of friends again! Oo.

No bumper coming Still hoping to make it "Out West" Will be looking for a switch to disable the remote starter. Thats pretty much it... Hoping to make the trip and see everyone again!

Calendar Conflicts

Mid-TN Gang and Wade,

Too much going on to make this event, I sure would like to though. Week after the 20th its time to go to Portland OR, then the week after that Dallas. But the interesting part is that the first shipment of goodies for our 2007 is due in late this week and I promised to start wrenching on it come heck or high water.

Everybody behave, don't get the Sherriff P/O'd.

yes you were in our tail wind :-laf

I was very much in your tailwind. My truck kept slipping and sliding and couldn't catch traction due to all of the poop spilling out of the cab of your truck with that big 'ol Peterbilt chasing after ya! :-laf :-laf :-laf :-laf
