Great meeting

I enjoyed my first meeting. Had a great time meeting everyone and seeing some real "characters". I also enjoyed winning those 4 tires. I dont know if I ever won anything like this before. If anyone has an edge comp or tst powermax they would like to do some trading on please let me know. The tires are 265 75 r16's. Again I enjoyed it. Thanks again to everyone involved.

It was great to see everybody there. Huge thanks to Joe for hosting, Andy for the organizing, and all that helped get it together. I don't know how late Joe stayed, but he was still wrenchin after 5:00 when I left.

Still didn't get to meet eveyone that I wanted to.

We're fortunate to have Joe and Meacham..... both have opened their shops and tools for us.

Good Deal Tom!!! Hope all of our "weary travelers" made it home safe. Now get that SPdiesel box fixed!

I'm gonna get that pic labeled with text regarding the award. I gotta figure out what we're going to call the award first!! lol.

It's me and Tom holding an 8lug rusty brake disc. We gotta name an award after him. Heck, he's driven 700+miles each way for two years in a row now.

Warning: THREAD HIJACK!!

testraub, we should get a small meeting going in our neck of the woods. I see there are several members in NOVA. You could have stopped by the meeting in Roanoke on your way back.

And you shoulda hitched a ride with Tom to TN you 'ol lazy dog. I ain't seen you in a while! :-laf :p

You'd be proud your old truck got the cops called to the shop VERY FIRST THING IN THE MORNING! It literally went like this:

I pulled in around 9:30-9:45.

Walked up to shop talked to some people for a few mins got hot in my jacket and took it back down to my truck.

As I was walking back up to the shop I heard a SCREAM'N! CTD coming up the road..... turned around just in time to see 'Ol Smokey just about leave the pavement do'n every bit of 105mph coming over the hill in front of Joes shop! :eek: :--) Oo. :-laf

Less than 15 minutes later cops showed up "We have a report of a white dodge diesel with stacks moving at high rates of speed up and down the road... . um... yeah..... I see about 10 of those so this will have to go unsolved... ... just keep your diesel smoke and tire smoke to a bare minimum. " ... . officer proceeds into the shop to talk with Joe and Mid-Tenn Prez Wade Patton roles up and does a 1/2 decent burnout right in front of the cop! :rolleyes: :-laf the whole time I'm doing the cut throat thing to try and stop him. :-laf

99supercab, thats the ultra rare version of that EZ model. it has 60,70, 80 and 90HP settings via straps on the inside :D It was set for 90 hp the last I had it on. Not bad, 90 hp for $150!

Shifted into overdrive(locked up the convertor) 4000ish rpm at 90 mph coming up the hill. Past the shop doing a 100 and a nickel!! This was after my buddy driving was braggin on the truck as he was manually shifting it about 34-3500/rpm and complimenting it so. I told him we had the valve body set up to shift about 38-3900rpm. he said, You mean I was short shifting it and you didn't tell me? So we strung her out coming by the shop!

Sweet, would ya happen to have any directions on playin with the settings ? I downloaded the instructions from Edge`s website, but they don`t have anything on the hotter version. I`m stacking it with my Power Pup, so I wanna keep the rail pressure in check.

Do a search in the 3rd gen forum for Edge EZ Level 6 settings. I ran that box on 6 for a night in my old 03. It was quick. Lots of poeple have posted the settings. For whatever reason, the disabled levels 5 & 6 after the first version came out.

EDIT: here's what I found so far:

OK, it turns out that there are two more levels on the EZ that haven't been made known and are going to be removed in future units. By default, they are supposed to be set to level 3 (it says 2 in the manual, though).

Level 5 (the way mine came) is on jumper on the left-most pin on the right side. Level 6 is the middle and left pin on the right-hand side. According to Edge, they are good for the following:

1 - 30 HP

2 - 45 HP

3 - 60 HP

4 - 70 HP, 200 ft. lbs.

5 - 75 HP, 220 ft. lbs.

6 - 80 HP, 240 - 250 ft. lbs.

Here's some more:

EZ settings:

Level 1 XX: :::

level 2 X:: ::X

level 3 X:: :X:

Level 4 ::: :XX

secret level

Level 5 ::: X::

older boxes

Level 6 ::: XX:

Wade, Andy, Joe, & Mid TN Members,

You guys put together a great event, I enjoyed it and it was fun meeting the members. It was a bit of a drive but I made it to Little Rock before I shut it down, lots of rain from Jackson to Little Rock, then smooth sailing to Dallas.

Joe, a special thanks for hosting the event and the tire balance job on the ZOOM truck helped alot, the seat didn't shake so much.

Gary
