The Hoss’ generosity strikes again! Mark is willing to put off a GTG at his place so we can do one down south. June 3rd & 4th if you need to show up on Friday night that is good too, I’ll be there.

I’ll edit this post as needed to get the correct information in as I learn stuff.

I would like to use the Philomath Scout Lodge Inc. future home. The PSL site has no fresh water or electricity. I’ll take the 5er out and we can use what I have. I have a gas powered current bush we can use for electricity.

I'll bring a KDP jig and 12 valve timing tools on Saturday morning. I can't stay for the whole day but most of it :)

Thanks Scott,

I'm not familiar with the jig fix. Is there a set of instructions that are pretty good incase you are gone by the time it gets used? I know of at least one 12v that should show up and needs it done.

Thanks for the info on Diesel Dyno Day at Fast Specialties; that was a good time! As for this gig, I haven't done any mods on my 91. 5 other than gauges. If I bring down, say, a 4" exhaust and Borgeson steering shaft, am I likely to get some help putting them on? Oo.

The KDP jig is not difficult to use. I have written instructions and can easily explain it in a couple minutes if you're looking at the pieces.

As for an exhaust kit, I'm sure there will be people around to help you out. I don't get too involved in doing other peoples projects but if your willing to listen and learn threre'll be help around. I don't have any experience with the steering shafts but how tough can it be right?

Well we had a great time. Keith and Joann (from Bend) came on Friday about three. Clint and Family (from Warrrenton) showed up just in time to set up the tent in the dark. Saturday early (about 9am) Scott Radke showed up with the KDP kit, and we started on Clint’s KDP. We spent a bunch of time BSing and just talking trucks. We got the KDP done at some point and I managed to get some meat on the grill. It was not done when we were ready to eat lunch so we fired up my little grill and had some burgers. Scott had to leave about 3:30pm. Clint and family had to get back home so after I got the BBQ chicken off the grill they headed home. His copilot said she was planning on a nap and I bet Clint spent that drive technically by himself. Sunday BlackSmoke (AKA Allen, from Independence) got there and we got to do the KDP fix all over again. It was a good thing Scott left the KDP jig fix kit with us. Oo. Tim and Sherryl showed up with the Elk burgers and we had a great lunch. Then Keith and Joann got started home after lunch, they had been putting it off as more folks arrived. Some other guys showed up and I’m having a case of CRS right now. Thanks to those who showed, I had a great time and at least two folks got peace of mind.

:D
