Veterans day

New Mexico Edition Desk Lamp

Mike I don't mind telling you that im Jealous, Penny and I went away for the weekend and were kind of out of touch. When we woke up today it was snowing where we were at Oo. I got home flipped on the Weather Channel and seen that you have more of the white stuff than we do

Come On Man its not fair!! :{

I want to try out my new toys (Heart Rate Monitor and Cross Country skis )

BIG

Easy there Big. Your time will come soon enough. ;)

We had a few flakes here this morning. Nothing to write home about. The new dog was completely confused when I let him out this morning. He'd stick his nose out the door and look at me with that You've Got To Be Kidding Me look. :-laf

Not that much fun, wet sticky crap hanging on everything which of course had knocked the damn power out.

Yea, I spoke with my parents (Albion, me) and they told me there was about 3" on the ground, still snowing and about 32 degrees. WINDY!
Heavy wet snow, drooping branches. I told them to have their candles ready.:D

Ours has gone to a mist of rain, it was a slush snow. BUT IT'S A START!!!

Its never soon enough when its like this, everything done outside is just SLOPPY WET

3g is back for.now so here it is..Almost 60,000 without power this morning. 12 to 15" of snow. Wind still blowing. I am home on generator duty. Power just now came back on at work. A scary
introduction for this winter...

Mike.

Just imagine what South Carolina is thinking right now after getting the earliest snow in history  :-laf

Jgillot I believe I was in your neck of the woods yesterday (ran 76 through PA). The wind was kickin' pretty good most of the day.

Man, you should have stopped by. I'm 10 min off of the Donegal interchange (exit 91 I-76).

It was cold and windy here yesterday.

I wish I knew you were that close. I saw the sign and it reminded me of your sig.
Next time I'm going through your way I'll keep that in mind.

80,000 still without power this morning (including me)......

I really don't care as I have full house functionality with the genset BUT my Time Warner internet goes out. Can't work from home so I had to tramp to Bangor this morning and leave the wife to tend generator.
It has even affected the 3G for the cellphones this time.

There are some major issues for those poor linemen. Trees on power lines everywhere you look.

It had rained for days before this snowstorm so the roots simply pulled out of the ground from the wind and wet snow sticking to the limbs. Normally the ground is frozen when we get a mess like this and most healthy trees will withstand the wind.

A perfect combination of events...

47* and RAIN RAIN RAIN, One good thing the shop is super clean, FIL drops things where he gets finished with them. He eventfully picks them up but I JUST CANT STAND IT WHEN HE DOES THAT!!!

So with the shop picked up, might start looking the Tractor Restore. :D

Please do. If you ever do get a chance to stop by this area and you have your kids with you, there are 2 ski resorts here with tubing, etc. that are really nice. Other than that, we are in the middle of a great big nowhere.

Heck I could have used you this weekend though. 04.5 needs an oil pan and I could use an extra pair of hands. :) ;)

Why my power was out.

You will notice there is not a lot of snow in those pictures. The lake is just beyond the trees to the right.

The wind was blowing so hard from the lake that it drove the snow through the woods, just around the corner ahead there was a foot of snow.
