Thats not bad at all Snow King, mine got pretty good mileage at first too, I didn't see a lot of difference in it after break in like a lot of the guys were reporting. I get around 20 MPG's if I dont hot rod too much.
Have 1700 miles, and 3. 54 gears. About 70% city/30% hwy, and getting about 16 mpg. Usually running with OD off unless i'm getting over 60. No towing at all. Not very impressed with mileage, but hopefull it will get better.
Dixie Dawg- 16 is all I get when I am running around town with a light foot, but mine is a 12v and supposed to get better. I can however get 22. 5 on the freeway going 65, but I can't seem to keep it that slow for the most part and get around 19 going 75 with no cooldowns (long stops).
My ETH 4x4 2500 with 8K miles is very speed dependent. At 60-62 it will do 21. At 65-68 it goes to down to about 19. 5. Hit 70-73 and it is at 18. Above 75 and you are looking at 17. 5.
Hook up a 10K trailer and it drops to a reasonably constant 13-14.
Disclaimer - the above numbers are non-scientific and derived from the trip computer that seems to be accurate the 2 times I've checked it out (truck is still stock).
