It looks like my mileage is getting worseBefore I added the EZ I was getting around 17. 5 mpg with no load and combination driving. After adding the EZ (3000 miles ago, I added it at 17k) I was averaging 18. 7 mpg with combination driving with no load. My last three tanks with no load have been 16. 87, 16. 5 and 17. 8 mpg. I raised my trailer before towing with the EZ so I can't make a good comparison when I towed without the EZ but mileage seems to have dropped there, too. I think I'm going to remove the EZ and drive for a few tanks and see where the mileage is. My driving habits have not changed.

Anybody have any suggestions as to where I should begin looking? It has been a rather abrupt change in mileage. I already hear the dealer's reasons now!

I just think that the diesel gnomes are not filling your tank with extra fuel at night and your starting to get the mileage some of the rest of us are! :p

I just turned over 7500 miles, on this last tank it has been about 90% highway. I'm getting 16. 2 mpg running good quality #2 with 3. 73 gears! :(

Da*# those gnomes! I liked my mileage! I have 3. 73 gears as well and the 5 speed.

Seriously, I would think my mileage would be increasing and not decreasing with the amount of miles I have so far.

How many miles to do you have now? When did you find out your mileage had dropped?

I'm wondering, with all this talk about raising rail pressure, if the EZ has not caused a problem with the fuel pump or even cracked the rail somewhere. I'm fairly stupid when it comes to this rail thing so I've not got a clue. I just don't want to bring this to the dealer and have them keep it for a week and tell me it's not got a problem. I've got enough miles on this truck to know what the normal mileage is and it has definitely changed for the worse and fairly quickly.
