Milelage

I am just wondering what kind of fuel milage I should expect. Right now I get between 16. 5 and 17. 5 empty, if this is low I would like some things that would improve it. My truck is A early 91 with a Banks intercooler ,16 cm2 housing,pump turned up 1 turn,and a KN filter . It has a 3. 07 gear with 3 speed 727. I am currently at 252K miles

Personally I think you're in the ballpark for mileage.

Right now I'm getting about 17. 5 - 18. 5 Mpg with my setup.

I am getting 19-20 with the same set up and a gear vendor overdrive, just now I run at 70-75 mph and

1850 rpm.

Much nicer than pedal mashed to the floor.

My overall average for 146,000 miles is 18. 4 which includes 30,000+ miles towing and a mix of 40% city 60% highway on the rest. My mods and light foot (most of the time) have only increased my mileage. I am running 3. 54 gears in the rear diff and at 70 mph I am running at 1800 rpm.

I'm at 20-23 depending on the time of year and most (98%) of my mileage is hwy

My truck gets 15 mpg in the city and 17 hiway. My driving is 85 percent city 14 3/4 percent hiway, and 1/4 percent towing time.

I just returned from a 185 mile trip with the A/C on running 65 - 70 mph. This was my best mileage since I purchased my truck 3/02.











1992 D250 Ext . Cab LE. All stock. Amsoil in engine, and Amsoil atf+4 in trans. Adding gauge pod on a-pillar with EGT and Boost gauges. 153, 000 miles.
