Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) MILF/Code Question

While driving up the mountains today, I downshifted into 5th. at about 55 mph to get around a big rig. A short while later I noticed my MILF light blazing.

I checked the codes when I stopped and got PCU- P1693 and ECU P-0234.

The latter refers to an "Turbo Boost Limit Exceeded Problem detected in



turbocharger wastegate. "

I have guages & I never noticed ANY condition that was abnormal in the turbo, EGT or fuel pressure guages.



Am curious if I can just disconnect my battery to re-set the MILF or should a visit to the dealer need to occur Sooner rather than Later?



Any suggestions are appreciated.

That code has popped up on me before also. Find someone with a Smarty or go to Autozone and have the codes read and then cleared. May never happen again. Stay away from the dealer at all possible costs.

HEHE, Isn't MIL (malfuction indicator lamp) not MILF which in my experience is something entirely different and not at all bad?
