I am looking for the pans that was used in the military for cooking. Its the thick alum. pan with the lids. The size is about 17X24X8. . with handles on all 4 sides.

We do a lot of cooking at church and this type of pan would be great. I seen some in use and they worked great for green beans and also rice...

We can get them new but they are not the quality that the old ones are. I looked at the pans that a caterier was using and the dates on the pans ranged from 1944 to 1967 and they were still in service. .

Thanks

Rick

Lordy lordy that brought back disgusting memories. To this day I CANNOT eat french toast, because when I was in the Army they fed us a LOT of french toast... only thing was, it was cooked in the oven on big pans like that which were NEVER washed very well, so the F. T. ALWAYS tasted like a combination of cinnamin, rancid bacon grease and dishwashing detergent. Being young and hungry we always scarfed it right down. Turns my stomach to his day.

DRMO

Try DRMO (defense reutilization marketing office) something like that. You can find them online. Or at your nearest large military base. I bought all sorts of good stuff from the Fort Bragg office.

It a long shot put it might pay off.

GOOD LUCK!!!
