Attention: TDR Forum Junkies Had a visit from 2 of the Indiana boys in the GLTDR, and while they were here, we went to
check out Trailblazer's in Lexington. They have a great big showroom full of truck goodies... We found a K & N air filter, cone type, RE-0870, so I bought it and we tried it out. We removed the stock air box, and coupled the filter to the end of the turbo hose with a piece of pipe, just let it hang there. Well... my EGT's went down, by over a hundred degrees, and now while running my PowerEdge in level 3 with a 4" exhaust, I can stay on the throttle about twice as long. And the truck cools down faster at shutoff time! I'm sure, though, it would work better if I was drawing cool air through the firewall like the actual psychotty system. I might even make my own pipe to the firewall !
