Compound Turbos

I saw the oddest thing today, it was a regular cab dakota, BUT, heres the odd part, was a "1 ton"! It had 8 lug wheels front and back, had a flared out box side and duallies! It actually looked really cool. I didnt get any pictures of it as I was driving and didnt have a camera, but it looked like it rolled off the factory line! Sorry I didnt get a pic!

I've heard that Dodge did built trucks like that, even crewcab versions as well. Just not sold here in the States. Whether it is true or not, I don't know. Went to Africa I think?

Saw one a while back that had dual stacks, that was pretty dumb looking though, sounds like a rice burner with a coffeecan exhaust

Ya know... probably 3 or 4 years ago I was at a store... and there was a guy that noticed I had an extra dually flare in the bed of my truck. He wanted to know what it was made of etc. We started talkin trucks and he told me he wanted to make a Dakota Dually. I didn't think much of it, but apparently he did it and it's out there! That's pretty sweet!

One of the guys I know has a duallie Suburban that he put together. Pretty neat.

Yeah theres a guy in town here with one of those, like a super duals kit they make or somthing, I donno. It looks good I think. Theres an S10 around here too thats a dualie with a 454 stuffed in it. Not too shabby.

There's an idea, instead of "tubing" your S10, put fender flairs on it and you could run slicks and still have a bed :-laf

nicest one i have seen is regular bed insides grafted to the step side bed. . only like 3' between the wheel wells, but had something like 15" sportsmans under the fenders nicely

theres a nasty looking late 70s early 80s sub running around here with the same vintage crewcab hips bolted on and he just runs the outer wheels, usually looks like it's about to fly into the ditch, and from the looks of it it's succeeded a few times

Yeah this burb doesn't have fender flares on it. He put a narrow 14 bolt in, moved the inner fenders a bit and it fit right in. The outer tire is right in line with the outside of the stock fender.

I've seen dually rims and fenders on a Ford cargo van. Didn't have the slider on the side. A bit odd to see, but looked pretty decent.

Seen a few 'Burbs with duals.

There seemed to be about 8 of them (van dually conversions) running around southeast MO 20 years ago. They were real popular. But, they give one more headroom than a pickup, plus they are a little shorter fore-to-aft. Might ride nicer, might not. I know where 2 still are next to a junkyard.
