Why can't you remove the bed on a 3500?

On my '99 it was 35mph. I wish it was 25... it'd be nice to be able to set it on those roads where you run into a speedtrap town every few miles that has a 25mph speed limit but no stops. I usually just set it at 35 and crossed my fingers. I always wondered if there was a way to modify that... of course it probably doesn't matter too much on the manual transmission cuz there's enough torque at idle to move you 25mph if you can find the right gear. Anyone lock their TC to accomplish this on an auto? Seems doable...

You can set the cruise at 35 MPH or higher, which is very inconvenient for those 25 MPH limit roads. However, I found out that once 35 MPH cruise is set, you can use the coast button to slow the cruise to 30 MPH. Once you coast to lower than 30 MPH it turns off. Unfortunately you can't resume to anything below 35 MPH.

I'm not sure why DC programmed these trucks to not be able to set the cruise below 35 MPH. My Honda Accord (5-speed manual) can have its cruise set as low as 25 MPH.
