Mirror Help

Hello to all,
Knocked the passinger side mirror off today.
Tried to put it back on,looks like it should snap on( it wouldn't)but glass started to come out so I gave up!Boy do I need to get it fixed.
1. How does it attach?
2. Anybody replace pass side with drivers side to get rid of objects are(Impact is imminent)closer glass.
3. Will heater element work with #2
4. How about a glass shop insalling regular mirror instead of mopar parts purcase?
5. Is there a spot mirror add on like 1st. gen
trucks I could buy?

P. S. Didn't knock of the housing, just popped
the glass out hanging by the wires.

Not sure if the heated mirror changes things vs. a regular power mirror, but the left and right mirrors are interchangeable and any auto glass shop can replace the fun house mirror with a real one.

I take it that you have a 98 or newer seeing that it's heated. Did you bust off the whole assy or just the mirror portion? Swapping from L to R won't work. They are cut differently. The mirror just snaps in. Place the palm of your hand in the center of the mirror and press firmly. Work around through full range of motion to unsure it fits properly. Make sure you was glasses and gloves. If it's totally wasted "Bomb" up to signal mirrors. Good luck

O. Khere goes... I learned that 3500 (and I looked at mine) mirror glass is the NON "objects in mirror" style because of the exact relation drivers need so they can see just what it is that is ripping off a fender. So I looked at the difference between a 2500 and my 3500 using a biz card fine print held exactly a snap on breaker bar length away from each mirror and the one on my truck seemed more distant than the 2500. Order up!

I tried a glass shop,he said the backing plate was too curved for him to put in a piece of flat glass.
Tried Trak auto nothing that new.
Called a couple of Dodge parts houses had 'em @$36 each, so thats the way it went. Thanks for the install instructions,the
popp of that plastic clips is unnerving.
Driving in the city one day without it was no fun,hench the haste to get it fixed.

Where did you find those mirrors for 36 bucks. I need a stock replacment for the passenger side(glass only). Thanks.
