Mirror light troubleshooting

I have replaced the LED mirror turn signal lights twice now over the years. Now they both are not working again. I find today that the new replacement ones wont work either. meter indicates no power on the connector. Removed the interior door panel and found the positive wire for the LED light (black with white tracer), skinned it and located a suitable ground only to find no power there either. So it seems the problem is somewhere between that point and into the harness of the truck. Does anyone have experience in trouble shooting power to these lights? Everything else in the mirrors and door works, all the turn signals work. I have found many threads and videos on how to replace the lights (which i have gotten pretty good at), but nothing about my particular condition.

Have you had any computer flashes done? Truck ECU may not be sending the power signal to the door modules. Do you have AlfaOBD or another scan tool? Sounds like a cluster f***! I know that the door modules work like they're on a network and get signals from ECU. Check power for modules and look at boot where the harness enters the door for any issues. Wish I was a bit closer to help in wiring chasing. Always love a challenge! Good luck!

No computer flashes in the last 10 years. I have a generic scan tool, so i doubt it will tell me anything about Ram specific codes. I also like a good challenge and especially resolution...but a truck should NEVER have these kinds of problems spontaneously especially with LED lights, and that is very frustrating!

You never did any updates? You should get them. They are important, Ram fixed many many bugs over the years.
